Udaipur is located in Rajasthan, India and also known as the most romantic place on the continent of India. Because of this it is known as the Venice of east. It is also known as the White City of India, because of the candid Rajputana-style palaces standing all around the lakes. The best time to visit Udaipur is Winter season, the temperature remains comfortable to enjoy the monuments and othe places of interest.
If we go into the history Udaipur was founded by Maharna Udai Singh 2 in 1568 and after his citadel Chittodgargh was sacked by Mughal Emperor Akbar. The legend says Udai Singh was guided by a holy man meditating near the hill of Pichola lake to establish his capital on this very spot. Before independence British administrator James Tod dubbed the city as “The Most Romantic Spot On The Continent Of India”.

The Pataleshwar Cave Temple also known as Panchaleshvara. The temple is built of basalt rock, is dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. There are three sanctums in the cave temple and the central one is where the Shivalinga dwells.

Kumbh Mela, also known Kumbha Mela, in Hinduism, religious festival which is celebrated four times over the course of 12 years, the site of the observance rotating between four pilgrimage places on four sacred rivers at Haridwar on the Ganges River, at Ujjain on the Shipra, at Nashik on the Godavari, and at Prayag.
The Kalaram Temple is an ancient Hindu shrine dedicated to Rama in the Panchavati area of Nashik city. It is the most important Hindu shrine in the city. The temple derives its name from a black statue of Lord Rama. The literal translation of kalaram is “black Rama”. Thousands of spiritual enthusiasts visit it every day.
Mangi-Tungi is a prominent twin-pinnacled peak with plateau in between, sited near Tahrabad about 125 km from Nashik. Here are various inscriptions on idols, most of them are not clear due to deterioration with time. many inscriptions on rocks of the Adinatha and Shantinatha caves now are in Sanskrit Language.Shree Anna Ganpati Navgraha Siddhapeetam is a temple which is 1.5km away from the Nashik railway station. It is vastly spread throughout the area on the open ground. There are 9 temples resembling the 9 planets. This temple is usually crowded with the devotes from unusual parts of the world.j at a distance of 2 km from Nashik, Sundarnarayan temple is situated at the corner of Ahillyabai Holkar Bridge near Ram Kund in Panchavati area of Nashik.
The temple presents imposing architecture especially the vaulted niche, which strikes a chord with the Mughal sculpture. The east-facing temple has three porches with balcony, lobed arches, and globular domes. The main deity Lord Vishnu flanked by Lakshmi and Saraswati is placed in the sanctum. There are small carvings of Hanuman, Narayana, and Indira on the walls.
The most extraordinary thing about this temple is the angle at which it is constructed. The sun rays of rising sun first fall straight on the idols on March 21st every year. Thousands of devotees come upon to this temple on this day to see this holy event.
