Alappuzha is nicknamed to as the ‘Venice of the East’. Alappuzha is also famous for its boat races, houseboat holidays, beaches, marine products, and coir industry. Lower areas of the district, recognized as Kuttanad, is one of the few places in the world where farming is done below sea level. Alappuzha (or Alleppey) is a city on the Laccadive Sea in the southern Indian state of Kerala. It is renowned for houseboat cruises along the rustic Kerala backwaters, a network of tranquil canals and lagoons. 

Stretched over a humongous part of Alappuzha and some of the parts of Kottayam district, Kuttanad is considered as the rice bowl of Kerala. Tropical Research and Development Centre is an NGO working with children, youth, and women to improve their lives through education, skill development, and conservation of natural resources. The organization has its project activities in Haveri, Uttara Kannada, Mysuru (Mysore) districts of Karnataka with its headquarters in Bangalore.

AMBA is a Training & Business Hub for adults with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities using Information Technology, Peer Training & Peer Supervision.

Bhumi is one of the NGO that is working for the life of an ordinary child and provide education. They have more than 33000 volunteers engaged. Who can work and even live without basic facilities like hygiene and water? Definitely no one. An NGO called Green Rameswaram has a vision to enable poor and downtrodden people to have sustainable access to safe drinking water, sanitation and better hygiene practices.

When it is about tourist places, as I have mentioned earlier Chennai is famous for beaches. And religious significance of temples are more over here. Marina Beach, Nettukuppam, Breezy beach, Covelong Beach, Golden beach, Akkarai beach, Besant and Royapuram Fishing Harbour are the major water attraction places.

The capital city of Telangana, Hyderabad is a famous tourist destination and please the tourist with its mesmerising old aged culture and monuments. A very well known and famous monument is Charminar. This square shaped structure was build by Sultan Mohammed Quli Qutab Shah in the honour of his wife Bhagmati in 1591.

Udupi is a city in the southwest Indian state of Karnataka. It’s known for its Hindu temples, including the huge, 13th-century Sri Krishna Temple, which houses a statue of Lord Krishna and attracts many pilgrims. Nearby, the ancient Anantheshwara Temple is dedicated to the God Shiva.

Constructed in the 13th century, the Sri Krishna Temple, also recognized as the Sri Krishna Matha, is a Vaishnavite temple originated by Saint Jagadguru Sri Madhvacharya.
