ALAPPUZHA

Alappuzha is nicknamed to as the ‘Venice of the East’. Alappuzha is also famous for its boat races, houseboat holidays, beaches, marine products, and coir industry. Lower areas of the district, recognized as Kuttanad, is one of the few places in the world where farming is done below sea level. Alappuzha (or Alleppey) is a city on the Laccadive Sea in the southern Indian state of Kerala. It is renowned for houseboat cruises along the rustic Kerala backwaters, a network of tranquil canals and lagoons. 

Stretched over a humongous part of Alappuzha and some of the parts of Kottayam district, Kuttanad is considered as the rice bowl of Kerala. Kuttanad is situated in a serene location the most peculiar thing about Kuttanad is its geography. The place is positioned around 2 meters below the sea level which makes it the lowest altitude place in India. Covered with the lush green blanket, this place is truly a paradise for nature lovers. 


The most orthodox temple of Alleppey is Ambalappuzha Sri Krishna Temple. The temple is recognized for its beautiful carvings and pond. The “aarti” is organized in the evening hours which is attended by many locals and visitors. After the Aarti, the devotees are given Paal Payasam, a scrumptious offering of milk porridge.

Apart from the natural landscapes and serene locations, Alleppey also entertains their visitors with its fascinating adventure sports. One of the most recognized sport practiced here is the snake boat festival. The visual of long boats racing down the Punnamada Lake water is truly striking.

A mesmerizing beach in Alleppey, Pozhiyoram is famous for water sports and sunset scenes. One can also catch sight of the confluence of rivers into the backwaters from this beach. 

This is the greatest way to calm down your senses than visualizing the sunrise and sunset views in the mesmerizing landscape of Alleppey. If you are not an early bird, you are not missing out much as Alleppey is largely known for its alluring sunset views.

Aswas Development Society is an NGO working towards upliftment of people living in this city. To arrange programmer to make women self-reliant and to help them in finding self-help jobs.

Gandhi Smaraka Grama Seva Kendram is an organization work under education and literacy sector as well as agriculture sector.  The Alleppey Educational Trust also works for education and literacy. And Seed on the other hand, is an organization that works for agriculture. 

Hope Community Village is an NGO, every child here has a home, though he/she is not born here, the child takes it as his/her own home. It is very different from orphanages and institutions. The home offers children a feeling of safety, security and belonging.

The Garden City: Bangalore

Bangalore is the capital city of Karnataka. Bangalore also referred as Bengaluru is also known as the “Garden city” due to its numerous parks and gardens. The city is also known for its nightlife. In late 90s it was referred to as Pensioner’s Paradise. It is well known as a hub for India’s Information Technology (IT (Information Technology) sector.

Places to visit:

Wandering at this 17th century Botanical Garden is one of the top most things to do in Bangalore. This garden has amazing rarities and is dotted with beautiful flower beds and ponds. It houses a 3,000-million-year-old rock, amongst the prehistoric in the world. The garden has over 1,000 exotic plants belonging to Afghanistan and Persia.

One can easily see why it was called the ‘Abode of Happiness,’ gazing at its magnificent architecture. There are grand arches, carved walls & frescos, and massive balconies. Walk among beautiful fountains and flowering gardens as you take a day trip of this grandiose place.

One of the best places for people who crave thrill and adventure, Wonderla promises to keep you swamped for hours. The exquisite place for the entire family, it offers 60+ land and water rides for adults and children, one of the most entertaining things to do in Bengaluru.

One of the most iconic commercial spaces in Bengaluru, shopping at MG Road is one of the best things to do in Bengaluru with friends.

The Centre for Wildlife Studies (CWS) is an internationally recognized center-of-excellence in the areas of wildlife research, in situ conservation, policy, and education. In collaboration with the central and state governments, as well as through partnerships with several national and international institutions, CWS practices science-based conservation to promote the protection of wildlife and wildlands.

Agastya International Foundation is an organization with its mission being “to spark curiosity, nurture creativity, and instill confidence” in poor children and government school teachers by bringing imaginative and innovative hands-on science education, project-based and peer-to-peer learning to schools, towns, and villages across India.

Tropical Research and Development Centre is an NGO working with children, youth, and women to improve their lives through education, skill development, and conservation of natural resources. The organization has its project activities in Haveri, Uttara Kannada, Mysuru (Mysore) districts of Karnataka with its headquarters in Bangalore.

AMBA is a Training & Business Hub for adults with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities using Information Technology, Peer Training & Peer Supervision.
Not only these, there are many such NGOs out there working selflessly out there without any support. Our team looks forward to work with such NGOs and help them raise their funds.  



CHENNAI

The Detroit of India, Chennai has base of more than one third of India’s automobile industry. Chennai is famous for Dosas and beaches it has. It was formerly known as Madras which has many Hindu Temples, churches and museums. Chennai also has a significance importance during modern history of India. It was a manufacturing hub for British East India Company.

Even today Chennai is contributing huge part to the economy. Because of high literacy rate and good gender diversity ration the city is developing from all sides. Many business and start-ups are going on here which are helping not only the society but also the country itself. A company called ZEEK Digital provides digital solutions for influencing marketing and it also provides training to the student for the same across the globe. The other unit working for quite similar domain is Animaker which provides solutions for visual marketing. 

Food is a very important part when it comes to Indians. A firm called Snack Expert is well famous and loved over here. They deliver fresh snacks especially to offices and institutions. It is always said the future of country depends on how we build the present generation for future. And it is also true that the early years of a child are very crucial for development process. A Chennai based start-up named Flintoboxv has taken this responsibility to enhance children’s brain usage and thinking process. 

India is growing and now a days but when it comes to contribution towards work generally men are on it rather than women.  Wsquare has acknowledged this problem and come up with a platform which offers food delivery, Wi-Fi, spa treatment, yoga session etc. Wsquare is the first of its kind in India which is a co-working space for women.

Education is very high in Chennai and one of the reasons we can say is organisation which are working for it. Bhumi is one of the NGO that is working for the life of an ordinary child and provide education. They have more than 33000 volunteers engaged. They also focus on global problems related to environment, animal welfare and civic initiatives. Another organization which is also working on the same area is Team Everest. They also give scholarships and other monetary benefits to children.

Who can work and even live without basic facilities like hygiene and water? Definitely no one. An NGO called Green Rameswaram has a vision to enable poor and downtrodden people to have sustainable access to safe drinking water, sanitation and better hygiene practices.

When it is about tourist places, as I have mentioned earlier Chennai is famous for beaches. And religious significance of temples are more over here. Marina Beach, Nettukuppam, Breezy beach, Covelong Beach, Golden beach, Akkarai beach, Besant and Royapuram Fishing Harbour are the major water attraction places.

Connemara public library always steals heart of the reading enthusiast here.

Other than this Birla planetarium, San thome church, Mylapore, Guindy national park and snake park, Dakshina chitra, Ashtalaxmi temple, Kapaleeshwar temple,Madras War Memorial, Vadapalngi Murugan temple are the other attractions for tourists.

HYDERABAD

Hyderabad is a city which is growing day by day, not just by infra development but also as an economy and entrepreneurship. It is a capital of Telangana. Almost all sectors like tourism, information technology, retail and real estate all are growing. The city is going to either launch or has launched 15 new start-ups in coming years. Most of them are related to new technology. The first is Grab On, which provides a platform to compare the prices of different sellers while shopping. The other is Darwin box which is an HR software that allows you to manage whole employee lifecycle on one unified HR solution platform, with client companies like McKinsey and Google. 

MapMyGenome is another start-up which is related to the health sector. It can decode and understand one’s DNA and can provide actionable steps to individual and physician for his better health. The list has many start-ups cannot talk about all of their work but can list some of them. Here it goes Hug Innovation, Pay Near, Zaggle, Popicorn, Nukkad shops, High Radius, eKincare, Zifi, Learnsocial, Hello Curry, Nowfloats, FlatPebble etc.

Even in this huge city, which is full of business units and education there are lots of problems that are going on with children and unskilled people. An organisation called Shine NGO is working here for betterment of the lives of people. They are working on projects of education, skill development, health, awareness building etc. No one can work or learn with hungry stomach. In a country like India poverty is prevalent and nineteen crore people sleep with empty belly in India as per a research. Youngistaan Foundation is working for these hungry people and they follow “One Goal: Zero Hunger”.

Another organisation named Youth For Seva which is mainly focus on education and health. It also does different activities related to situation like during covid and flood they volunteer for different tasks. There are so many social organizations from which we can get inspiration for work like, Babul Film Society, Yatna NGO, Sahara NGO etc.

The capital city of Telangana, Hyderabad is a famous tourist destination and please the tourist with its mesmerising old aged culture and monuments. A very well known and famous monument is Charminar. This square shaped structure was build by Sultan Mohammed Quli Qutab Shah in the honour of his wife Bhagmati in 1591.

The place that is stealing your heart in the above picture is Golconda Fort. It has eight gates and eighty-seven bastion, which was build by Qutub Shahi Kings. There is a show goes on at fort in English, Hindi and Telugu which one must visit.

Another infra which is made in European style, Purani Haweli is also a eye fetching place. It also has a historical value as it was used for residential purpose by Mir Momen. This building is a beautifuk mixture of Indian tradition and European style. In the hot weather the place that gives Shimla vibe is Snow World. It is the first ever snow themed park in India and is spread around the area of 17000 sq feet.

Other places which can make you fall in love are Chowmahalla Palace, Jala Vihar, Hussain Sagar Lake, Ramoji Film City, Lumbini Park, Qutub Shahi Tombs, Nehru Zoo Park, Laad Bazar, Durgam Cheruvu, Necklace Road, Chilkur Balaji Temple Taj Falaknuma Palace, Gandipet lake etc. 

Hyderabad is not a place that can be finish visiting in little time. It is filled with places of attractions.

PUDUCHERRY

Puducherry was apparently a crucial destination for Roman trade with India. During Portuguese ruling in India Puducherry was said to be administrative capital. It was also once the original headquater of the French in India and was under the French rule for 138 years.

Because of this history the city has many colonial buildings, churches, temples, statues which combined with the town planning and French style avenues in the old part of town. Arekamedu is one among these architectures, which is build in 19th century and adorned with Roman Lamps.

The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is also one of the most popular places to visit in Puducherry. French War Memorial is a structure build as a homage to the valiant soldiers who laid their lives to rest during the World War one.

Puducherry is situated on the shore of Bay of Bengal, which leads it to have many beautiful beaches. Such as, Veerampattinam Beach, Pudukuppam Beach, Reppo Beach, Rock Beach, Auroville Beach and Serenity Beach.

Temples located here give the glance of the south Indian culture, Temples with long gates, high building and designing and craft on wall give goosebumps to the visitors. Very well known and famous temples here include Varadaraja Perumal Temple, Manakula Vinayagar Temple, and Kanniga Parameshwari Temple. Kanniga Parameshwari Temple is dedicated to Goddess Shakti and is known for amalgamation of The French Style with Traditional Deccan architecture. 

An amazing sport that you should try here and will you thrill is Scuba Diving. The place is located near Romain Rolland street, white Town and is open for 7 hours from 6:45 to 13:00.

How bad it feels when you do not feel the part of the society that you live in. Hope is working for the women, Dalits, children minorities and fisher folk so that they do not feel segregated from the society they belong. An organisation named Chennai Volunteers is doing something different than other units. It is connecting enthusiast volunteers to the NGOs that they would like to serve or their respective domain area.

An institute named Udhavumullangal is working for an amazing cause. They are working for cancer patients and also for other causes like women and children education etc.

Industries like polymer, estate, packaging, chemicals are prevalent here. A company name Pondicherry chemicals is a quite big name in the business of chemicals. Cottage Industries is a name in providing candles, body care, and other assorted items.

So, in and all Puducherry is a quite amazing place which has nature’s beauty as well as history with French. Social organisations are also doing great which can be a good example for others.

UDUPI

Udupi is a city in the southwest Indian state of Karnataka. It’s known for its Hindu temples, including the huge, 13th-century Sri Krishna Temple, which houses a statue of Lord Krishna and attracts many pilgrims. Nearby, the ancient Anantheshwara Temple is dedicated to the God Shiva.

Constructed in the 13th century, the Sri Krishna Temple, also recognized as the Sri Krishna Matha, is a Vaishnavite temple originated by Saint Jagadguru Sri Madhvacharya. 

This temple is known for a distinctive feature, that is, that the deity is worshipped through a silver-plated window with nine holes, known as the Navagraha Kindi. The day-to-day services to god are performed by the Ashta Mathas and people from all over the country flock to this temple to pay respect.

St. Mary’s Island is the most famous amongst the four rocky islands of Malpe Beach. Also known as Coconut Island, St. Mary’s is well-known for its rare, crystallized basalt rock formations, formed millions of years ago due to volcanic activities.
These rock formations give the island its unique landscape, making it a haven for nature and geology lovers alike. This geological goldmine is dwelling to one of the 26 geological museums of India and is still an uncharted part of the country that holds massive tourism potential.

settled about the Kundapur Town, the Kodi Beach is also renowned as the Delta Beach. ‘Kodi’ in the Kannada language translates to ‘shore’ and is especially famous since it is surrounded by water on three sides, making it one of the most perfect places to visit in Udupi.
Also famous for being the meeting point of the River Suvarna with the Arabian Sea, Kodi Beach is a popular weekend destination for the students of Manipal and is famous for its seafood.

A town in the district of Udupi, lying between Mangalore and Udupi town, Kapu, or Kaup Beach is one of the best places to visit in Udupi due to its pristine water breaking against the sandy shoreline dotted with palm trees. One can spend hours taking in the sweeping eye shot of the sun slowly rising against the backdrop of the vast ocean, as it is astounding. The waters of Kaup Beach are rougher than the gentle Malpe Beach but are stunning, nonetheless.

Arunodaya Special School run by Jeevan Welfare Trust for Mentally challenged Children like Mild, Moderate, and OPH. They also have Deaf and Dump children. Some children there are with physically disability. Their school is Day Care school so far.
